Jean Marie Juban
Jean-Marie Juban débute la batterie en 1983. Autodidacte dans un premier temps, en 1997 il entame un cycle de formation intensive à Jazz à Tours pour ensuite continuer à se former d’abord de 2002 à 2006 puis de nouveau en 2013 au sein de l’école Dante Agostini. Il fonde en 2010 son école de batterie « JM Drums ». Parallèlement il officie dans de nombreux groupes et au service de divers artistes dont voici quelques exemples marquants : « Jeudi Blues » « Reactors Rock » « Crossroads Blues band » « Showtime » …
Jean-Marie Juban began playing the drums in 1983. Self-taught at first, in 1997 he began an intensive training cycle at « Jazz à Tours » music school and then continued to train first from 2002 to 2006 then again in 2013 within the Dante Agostini school. In 2010, he founded his drum school « JM Drums ». Benoit Caillault
Benoit commence la musique très jeune par l’apprentissage du saxophone. Très vite, il se sent attiré par le jazz et les musiques improvisées. Il poursuit par la guitare et puis la basse électrique qu’il étudie d’abord seul puis avec divers Professeurs. Il intègre ensuite la classe de Jazz du conservatoire de Tours et y commence l’apprentissage de la contrebasse au CRR et à l’école de Jazz. Il participe à de nombreuses formations dont entre autres : « Big Band de L’université de Tours » « Tom Bailey and
the Makers » « Gumbo Jam » « The Leeds » …
Benoit began music at a very young age by learning the saxophone. Very quickly, he felt attracted by jazz and improvised music. He continues with the guitar and then the electric bass which he studies first alone then with various teachers. He then joined the Jazz class at the Tours Conservatory and began learning the double bass at the CRR and at the Jazz school. He plays in many formations including among others: « Big Band of the University of Tours » « Tom Bailey and the Makers » « Gumbo Jam » « The Leeds » …
Mikka Grytviken
Mikka grandit auprès d’une mère mélomane et d’un grand-père multi-instrumentiste qui l’initie très tôt à l’accordéon, à l’harmonica, aux cuivres et au chant. Mikka n’aura de cesse de s’intéresser à tous les styles qu’il entend ainsi qu’à tous les instruments de musique qui croiseront sa route. Alors qu’il est claviériste et chanteur dans un cover band, un ami d’enfance l’initie à la guitare laquelle deviendra son instrument de prédilection très rapidement. C’est à travers la guitare qu’il découvre plus largement le Blues lequel devient la pierre angulaire de son approche musicale.
Mikka grew up with a music-loving mother and a multi-instrumentalist grandfather who introduced him very early to accordion, harmonica, brass instruments and singing. Mikka will never cease to be interested in all the styles he hears as well as all the musical instruments that will cross his path. While he was a keyboardist and singer in a cover band, a childhood friend introduced him to the guitar, which very quickly became his favorite instrument. It is through the guitar that he discovers more broadly the Blues which becomes the cornerstone of his musical approach.
